The research focus Globalisation gathers 75 scholars from the Faculty of Arts at The University of Aarhus who conduct research on issues of globalisation in an historical and comparative perspective.

The participants in this research collaboration originate from a broad spectrum of disciplines from all seven institutes at the Faculty of Arts. The research projects seek to analyse the complexities of lived global realities in a cross-disciplinary approach from the social sciences and the humanities.

The exploration of lived global realities at the Faculty of Arts is part of the research priority area Globalisation established in cooperation between the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Social Sciences. The strategic research priority area is part of the Development Contract between The University of Aarhus and The Ministry of Science, Technology and Development for the period 2006-2008.
